Mechatronics Team Lead

Leading the Mechatronics development of multiple autonomous UAV fleets and ground assisting infrastructure. Designed and manufactured custom UAV prototyping and testing platform (The Dragonfly) and Series Production Drone (The Firefly). Designed a fully autonomous docking station handling precision landing, battery charging, and data offload.

Innovation Hub Executive

Nile University

Acted as technical lead for researchers and startups, providing design-for-manufacturing (DFM) reviews and electronic subsystem prototyping. Helped more than 500 individual engineering students and researchers, 25 graduation projects and 3 Startups. Designed and manufactured a Hubless Rim-driven Brushless DC Thruster for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs).

Lab Operations: Provided technical support to all lab visitors and ensured all machines and equipment are maintained and in proper working conditions to ensure highest uptime. Technical Instruction: Assisted in creating and teaching three courses in ECEN major: Physical Sensors, Transducers, and Instruments lab, Analog and Digital Electronics lab and Communications Design Lab course.

PCB Design & Layout: Led the design of multiple Smart Home system modules from schematic capture to mass production. Embedded Systems: Developed hardware and firmware for RF communication modules. Power Management: Designed power switching circuits using TRIACs, Relays, and Opto-isolators, adhering to safety standards for mains-voltage applications.

Graduation Project (Funded by ASRT, Mentored by Valeo): Designed an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) with 200kg payload capacity using ROS and LIDAR SLAM navigation. Grade: A+. Research: Designed a Neural Network-controlled Stewart Platform (6-DOF) using MATLAB and MSC Adams co-simulation.
